Further west lies Side, with its ancient remains and old town. That is a longer outing, because Kızılağaç and neighbouring Kızılot are the two resort areas farthest from both Manavgat centre and Side. Kızılot sits just along the same stretch of coast, and the D400 makes short hops between the two simple. If you plan several outings, remember that the main road is your link to everything, so a taxi or an organised trip is the practical way to go rather than setting out on foot.

Getting About From Kızılağaç

Kızılağaç is about 12 km from Manavgat town, and the D400 coastal highway is the spine that connects it with Manavgat, Side and, in the other direction, Alanya. With little town life outside the hotels, most guests stay put during the day and head into Manavgat when they want shops or a change of scene. For your departure, think about which airport you are flying from: allow about 1 hour 10 minutes of driving for Antalya and about 1 hour 20 minutes for Gazipaşa, then add your check-in time. Antalya is still the closer of the two, but if a Gazipaşa flight is better timed for you, the extra distance is small. From either direction the route is the D400 coastal highway, which runs along the whole of this coast. Your driver meets you in arrivals holding a sign with your name, and the vehicle is reserved for your party alone, so there are no detours to other hotels.
